DAILY COMMODITY MARKET STRATEGY-10 Sep 2014

BASE METAL WRAP: Nickel dropped from a nine-week high while copper posted its steepest decline in nearly six months amid reports that a potential ore-exports ban by the Philippines may be years away. Copper futures edged lower on Monday, after data showed that China's imports of the red metal slowed in August.

ENERGY WRAP: West Texas Intermediate traded near the lowest price in almost eight months before government stockpile data that will signal the strength of fuel demand in the U.S. Brent was steady in London.

PRECIOUS METAL WRAP: Gold traded near a three-month low on speculation that the price decline will encourage purchases as investors assessed the strength of the U.S. economy and the outlook for higher borrowing costs.

GLOBAL EVENTS TO WATCH: Inflation Report Hearings, Wholesale Inventories m/m, Crude Oil Inventories, 10-y Bond Auction.
