BASE METAL WRAP: Copper rose to a four-month high as fewer Americans than forecast filed applications for unemployment benefits and as China maintained its growth trajectory, adding to signs of recovery in the biggest users.

ENERGY WRAP: West Texas Intermediate crude rose to a two-month high on a report showing that fewer Americans than projected filed applications for unemployment benefits. Natural gas advanced from a one-week low in New York on speculation that a government report tomorrow will show a bigger-than-average stockpile decline.

PRECIOUS METAL WRAP: Gold swung near a one-week high, heading for a monthly and quarterly loss as the Federal Reserve scales back stimulus amid a strengthening U.S. economy.
