BASE METAL WRAP: Copper climbed for the first time in four days, trimming a weekly drop, as demand from China, the biggest user, is expected to gain while supplies from Indonesia and the Philippines may decline.
ENERGY WRAP: West Texas Intermediate oil fell from a two-month high as investors sold contracts to profit from the biggest price surge in more than a week. Natural gas futures climbed in New York to the highest level since July 2011 following a government report that showed a record drop in U.S. inventories.
PRECIOUS METAL WRAP: Gold closed at the lower level as traders capitulated after the Federal Reserve said it would begin tapering its monetary stimulus, extending a slide that’s sending the metal to its biggest annual drop since 1981.
